Responsibilities of Peer Reviewers
Peer reviewers play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of Cakrawala: Management Science Journal. Reviewers are responsible for critically reading and evaluating manuscripts in their field of expertise, providing honest and constructive feedback to the authors. Reviewers should discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the article, suggest improvements, and assess the manuscript's originality and relevance to the field of management science.
Before Reviewing
Please consider the following before accepting a review invitation:
- Availability: Do you have the time to complete a thorough review within the requested timeframe? If you need an extension or must decline, please inform the editorial team immediately so an alternative reviewer can be assigned.
- Conflict of Interest: Do you have any potential conflicts of interest (e.g., you work at the same institution as the author, or have collaborated recently)? If so, please disclose this to the editor before proceeding.
Evaluating the Manuscript
1. Title, Abstract, and Introduction
- Title: Does it clearly and accurately describe the article?
- Abstract: Does it effectively summarize the research problem, methodology, and key findings?
- Introduction: Does it establish the context of the research, clearly state the problem, and outline the research objectives and hypotheses?
2. Originality and Scope
- Is the article novel, insightful, and interesting enough to publish?
- Does it make a meaningful contribution to the existing body of knowledge?
- Is the topic aligned with the focus and scope of the Cakrawala Management Science Journal?
3. Methodology
- Did the authors accurately and transparently describe how data was collected and analyzed?
- Is the theoretical framework or research method appropriate for the study? If a new method is introduced, is it explained in sufficient detail?
4. Results, Discussion, and Conclusion
- Are the findings presented clearly and in a logical sequence?
- Are the claims made by the authors fully supported by the results?
- Do the authors compare their findings with previous literature? Do they address any contradictions with established theories?
- Does the conclusion summarize the study effectively and suggest directions for future research?
5. Tables, Figures, and Writing Style
- Are all tables, graphs, and figures relevant, easy to interpret, and properly labeled?
- The writing should be clear, concise, and engaging for the journal's academic audience.
- The literature review must be systematic and highly relevant to the fields of management, business, and economics.
6. References
- Are the references up-to-date, highly relevant to the study, and properly formatted according to the journal's official citation style?
Final Review Submission
- All manuscripts and review reports are strictly confidential.
- Under no circumstances should a reviewer contact the author(s) directly. All communications must go securely through the OJS editorial system.
